Most of us can point to a team, a coach, or an activity that shaped who we are today. For some, it was the discipline of basketball. For others, the creativity of theater or the confidence built through DECA. These experiences don’t just create memories—they open doors, build life skills, and set students on a path to success.
Every student deserves the chance to thrive through activities like music, sports, and academic clubs. But in LPS middle and high schools, participation often depends on fees that range from $25 to $330+. These costs are out of reach for some families, leaving students without access or sometimes shifting the financial burden to schools already managing tight budgets.
That’s why the LPS Foundation has launched the Play it Forward Campaign, which runs until May 23. This new initiative will help cover academic, program, and/or extracurricular fees so that all students can participate, no matter their financial situation.
How to Help:
- Make a one-time online gift or set up monthly support. Select “Play it Forward Spring 2025 Campaign” from the drop-down menu.
- Send or deliver a check to the LPS Foundation at 5776 S. Crocker St., Littleton, CO 80120, or contact Stefanie Carroll at scarroll@lps.k12.co.us or 303-347-3478 to discuss support through your donor-advised fund (DAF), charitable trust, appreciated stock gift, IRA, or other qualified charitable contribution.
- Share the campaign with family, friends, and colleagues who believe in the power of education and opportunity.
Let’s ensure that every LPS student has the chance to learn, grow, and participate regardless of their financial circumstances.
