Who We Are

Simply put, we raise money to support students and educators in Littleton Public Schools.

Providing a quality education for every child is at the forefront of our purpose. We are committed to generating financial resources and building community partnerships that enhance student and staff success in all of our neighborhood schools.

Even in a thriving school district like LPS, school budgets have funding gaps. With the help of generous donors, we fill those gaps with thoughtful and meaningful opportunities that foster personal and academic development for students. In addition, we empower teachers by providing them with resources to amplify their teaching.

Our wide range of support includes projects like funding a STEM makerspace in an elementary school, emergency therapy sessions for students in crisis, college scholarships for students pursuing education degrees, and a poetry slam where students can express themselves in a new way.

Mission

Littleton Public Schools Foundation raises funds to support each LPS student's unique path to success.

History

In 1991, after dramatic education budget cuts at the state level, a team of dedicated community members and local business owners came together to form the Littleton Public Schools Foundation (LPSF). Their goal was to fill funding gaps so LPS students, teachers, and staff had every opportunity to succeed.

Former Superintendent Cile Chavez explains, "we needed just a little bit more to make us the best school district we could be. And (that message) really resonated with people."

33 years later, thanks to the community and the LPSF Board of Directors, we’ve made a difference for over 500,000 students and contributed more than $8 million to support each LPS student’s unique path to success.
