Colorado Gives 2024
Let's plant Seeds of Success for LPS students this Giving Season!
Started in 2010, Colorado Gives celebrates philanthropic giving by allowing donors to easily give where they live in support of the causes they care most about. The movement has raised more than $415 million since its inception. The LPS Foundation is proud to be a part of the 2024 Colorado Gives movement.
LPSF aims to raise $180,000 between now and December 31 to serve students and staff, but we can’t do it without you!
Your gift helps student thrive by:
- Supporting Career Development Opportunities through initiatives like a field trip to Arapahoe Community College to tour a physiology lab, EPIC summer camps for middle school students, and technology for an elementary school maker space.
- Providing Mental Health Resources including emergency counseling, a district-wide Poetry Slam, and peer-led advisory groups.
- Distributing Educator Support via grants that enhance creativity & learning, like a Guatemalan weaving workshop, a school-wide book club, and supplies for a mini-golf geometry challenge.
- Encouraging Health & Wellness, which brought desk bikes to one school, curved treadmills to another, and new basketball equipment to a third.
- Giving Crisis Relief, including student hygiene kits, Internet hot spots at home for families facing digital inequities, and more.
Your Dollars in Action:
- $50 provides a backpack full of school supplies for a student in need
- $125 provides an emergency therapy session for a student in crisis
- $1,000 fully funds a teacher grant, so they don’t have to compromise other needs in their classroom
Every donation made between November 1 and December 10 gets a boost from the CO Gives/FirstBank $1 million plus incentive fund, although you have until December 31 to contribute to the campaign.
