The LPS Foundation is thrilled to announce our next major investment in the East Community Center: a new shared-use community kitchen, opening in 2027.

The Foundation has secured more than $230,000 to remodel the East Community Center's existing kitchen and transform it into a welcoming commercial space, one built to serve families, nonprofit tenants, and community partners for years to come.

And the possibilities are big. The space will be designed to serve the community in many ways, including:

• Offering family programming and nutrition education
• Providing culinary training and career pathways
• Supporting community entrepreneurs looking to launch their restaurant

Renovations will take place during the 2026-27 school year, with the new kitchen scheduled to open in spring 2027.
