Scientific discovery comes in many forms.
For Avery, it was watching layers bubble, flow, and transform right before her eyes during a lava experiment.
For Grady, it was building a flashlight from scratch and realizing, “I made this work.”
For Sarah, it was seeing a science concept in action rather than reading about it.
These moments, and more like them, happened in Ms. Henke’s fourth-grade classroom at Littleton Academy as a result of an LPS Foundation 2025-26 educator grant.
In the fall, Ms. Henke requested $500 to purchase hands-on science materials designed to bring abstract concepts to life. Used alongside core instruction, the tools purchased with the grant help students feel more confident, deepen their understanding, and truly get the lesson.
When you donate to the LPS Foundation, you are investing in meaningful classroom moments that help students connect learning to the real world.
