Lace Up for LPS: The Stride Returns October 25

Participants at Stride 5K gather at starting line

Fall in Littleton means one thing on every runner's calendar: The Stride.

On Sunday, October 25, families, students, staff, and neighbors will gather at the Littleton Museum for a morning that blends a 5K, a Kids Fun Run, and a Health + Wellness Expo, all in support of Littleton Public Schools.

The Stride has always been about more than a finish line. It's a celebration of health, wellness, and community, and this year brings something new to the course: a 5K Wheelchair Race, making the event more inclusive than ever.

Here's how the morning unfolds:

  • 7:30 a.m. — Registration and the Health + Wellness Expo open
  • 8:45 a.m. — 5K Wheelchair Race start (new this year!)
  • 9:00 a.m. — 5K Run/Walk start
  • 10:00 a.m. — Kids Fun Run start
  • 10:15 a.m. — Awards ceremony

Whether you're chasing a personal best, walking with the family, or just here for the Expo, there's a place for you at The Stride.

Can't make it in person? No problem. The Virtual Stride option lets participants support LPS students and staff from anywhere, and virtual runners still receive a commemorative race shirt. Join from your neighborhood, your treadmill, or your couch. However you stride, it counts.

Every registration and every donation adds up to real impact. Funds raised through The Stride support mental health resources, career development opportunities, educator grants, and more across Littleton Public Schools. And for families who want to participate but face a cost barrier, financial assistance is available; no LPS student should miss out on Stride day.

Early packet pickup will be available October 23 for anyone registered by October 19, with race-day registration open starting at 7:30 a.m. on the 25th at the Littleton Museum.

Grab your running shoes, your costume, and your favorite Stride crew. We can’t wait to see you at the starting line!
